The Virtual Student Federal Service is a project based initiative brought to us by the US Department of State. After partnering with them for two years, the program has matured and now has 660 available projects. Students can form teams, or work solo, and bid on projects and are then paired with project mentors to complete their projects between August 1st and August 31st. Because of the way in which COVID-19 has impacted students’ ability to complete or obtain internships, this is a great possibility to increase student professional development and experience.
