Engineering Intern – Solid Rocket Propulsion
Adranos is seeking a candidate to support its solid rocket motor research, development, and manufacturing activities in coastal Mississippi. Adranos is a close-knit, growth-oriented company focused primarily on increasing solid rocket motor performance through the use of its proprietary solid rocket fuel, ALITEC. This candidate would have the opportunity to be involved in a broad array of activities and gain valuable experience in the field of aerospace, propulsion, and energetic materials.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize engineering principles to assist in the performance of engineering duties
- Conduct and analyze experiments related to solid rocket fuel and propellants
- Write reports on findings
- Assist other engineers with ongoing projects
- Utilize various laboratory equipment for process analysis
- Perform various other tasks as needed by the organization
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Aerospace, Chemical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
- Anticipated graduation date on or after December 2021
- Excellent academic credentials (3.0 GPA and higher)
Other Qualifications:
- Prior aerospace experience beneficial but not required
- Ability to work autonomously with limited organizational structure
- Excellent interpersonal, research, and time management skills
- Grace under pressure and good judgment in sensitive situations
- Capable of prioritizing and managing many tasks at once
- Willingness to assist with projects that drive the company forward regardless of whether they are your responsibility or not
- Ability to wear many hats at once and thrive in scenarios with stretch goals • Desire to be a part of a growing company and make a large impact on the aerospace and defense industries
